2024 WSK 3YO Enrolment Application Form

As part of the Victorian State Government’s Reform, Wilson Street Kindergarten will receive funding for the 2024 3YO program.

It is important for families to carefully consider the best time to enrol their child in a 3YO program as children are unable to repeat 3YO kindergarten. All children accessing 3YO kindergarten will transition to 4YO kindergarten the following year. Only children who meet the criteria for a second year of 4YO kindergarten will be eligible to access an additional year of a funded 4YO program.

If a child’s birthday falls between January and April, the family can decide whether to enrol their child in the year they turn three or the following year. It is important to note that children can only attend our 3YO program once they have turned three and not before.

Children who turn three after the 31st January in the year of attendance will be placed on the waitlist and will be eligible for second round offers if demand exceeds availability.

Prior to starting this application, you will need your child's immunisation record and birth certificate saved ready for uploading.

15 hour funded + 3.5 hour non-funded program
15 hour funded program (blended 3/4YO group)

Your child must turn three years old by 30th April 2024 to apply for our 2024 3YO program.

WSK requires all children who suffer from asthma, anaphylaxis or any other allergies to have an up to date medical management plan.

Children will not be permitted to commence the program until all relevant paperwork is complete and medication supplied if necessary. Our Operational Manager will be in contact to discuss further.

Eligibility and priority of access criteria for a funded 3YO Program

In instances where more eligible children apply for a place at WSK than there are places available, the kindergarten must prioritise children based on the DET criteria below and work with other local kindergarten services and the regional department office to ensure all eligible children have access to a kindergarten place.

Priority of Access Criteria:

Children at risk of abuse or neglect, including children in Out-of-Home Care.
Children known to child protection.
Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander children.
Children with special rights, defined as children who:

- require additional assistance to fully participate in the kindergarten program

- require a combination of services which are individually planned

- have an identified specific disability or developmental delay.

Application Fee

A non-fundable administration fee of $40 must be submitted for the application to be processed. The enrolment application fee is to cover administrative costs. Please record the receipt number before submitting the form.
